Introducing Silestone™ —, bridging the gap between nature and technology. Crafted from the finest quartz, Silestone is an engineered stone that is more durable than plastic solid surface or any natural material. Stain, heat and scratch resistant. Silestone is your low maintenance-surfacing product. Ideal for an array of commercial and residential applications, Silestone is today's surfacing solution.

Benefits
Silestone is the result of a high tech process perfected over the last three decades to offer distinct advantages over other surface materials. Specify Silestone to receive:

  • Mechanical strength
  • Flexural strength

  • Airports
  • Hospitals
  • Shopping malls
  • Office buildings
  • Hotels

The Technology
The Silestone process begins with natural quartz materials that are combined with resins and pigments through a patented high-tech process of vibrocompression under vacuum. With just enough resins to bind the quartz in polymeric chains, Silestone is 93% natural quartz and 7% resins and pigments. This results in an engineered stone that outperforms its competitors in strength, durability and cost effectiveness. Another reason Silestone is superior to natural and synthetic materials is its low absorption coefficient. Silestone is virtually non-porous; therefore, it does not freeze, stain, or burn. Furthermore, the Silestone process enhances the strength and durability of its natural components resulting in a material that is easy to maintain, is scratch resistant and provides years of worry free use to the owner.

Wear-Resistant
The production process of Silestone results in a material that is highly scratch resistant. Silestone is ideal for high traffic floor areas.

Stain-Resistant
Silestone is virtually maintenance-free. Because it is non-porous it resists permanent stains. Silestone is easy to clean with water and soap, or an over the counter household cleaner.

Physical Characteristics
Silestone meets the standards for Ceramic Tile, ANSI A-137, and Dimensional Granite, ASTM C-615. Silestone carries the NSF listing for standard SI-Food Equipment Materials. In addition to those tests, important Silestone results can be found at the Table element button in this program.

3-Part Specifications
Fully downloadable 3-Part Specifications are available at the 3-Part Specifications element button in this program.

Colors
Silestone can be produced in a wide selection of colors. The use of computers guarantees a color match on re-orders. A few of the color possibilities can be found in the next profile, "Color Chips". Check it out below!!!!
